Dr Cyrus Abbasian (GMC 4637608) trained as a medical doctor at Kings College, London graduating in 1999. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2003 and has been on the Specialist Register as a General Adult (with Addiction) Psychiatrist since 2008. He obtained an intercalated BSc. in Psychology (2:1) from University College London in 1996 and MSc. in Addictions (merit) from Kings College London in 2008. He has been a substantive NHS Consultant Psychiatric since 2009.
Dr. Abbasian completed his psychiatric training at the Maudsley, a centre of excellence and one of the most influential mental health establishments in the world. He has worked with leaders in the field of psychosis and addiction. He has had training and undertaken medico-legal work both privately and for the NHS with experience in acting as Expert Witness. Also he is College Tutor and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St. Georges University of London and has published articles in psychiatry.
Dr. Abbasian has particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of:

- Bipolar affective disorders (manic depression)
- Psychosis
- Dual Diagnosis (addiction with mental illness)
- Adult ADHD/ADD
- Addiction to alcohol, opiates, cocaine, amphetamine, GHB and party drugs
