Dr Pavlidou received her Medical Diploma (MD) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006 and subsequently completed a Diploma in the Psychotherapeutic Application of Arts at the Metropolitan University of London.

She then joined the Department of Psychiatry, working in the 1st psychiatric clinic, at Papageorgiou General Hospital as a resident psychiatrist. Dr Pavlidou moved to London in 2010 to join the residency psychiatric training. She completed the Core Psychiatric Training at South London and Maudsley Foundation Trust and the Higher Training at East London Foundation Trust.

Dr Pavlidou has trained in Specialist Psychotherapy Services, with experience in assessing personality disorders and offering brief interventions including CBT and CAT. She has also trained in psychosomatic illnesses, including the National Clinic for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

She is registered on the Specialist Register as a General Adult Psychiatrist and Liaison Psychiatrist with license to practise. She is a Specialist Associate member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Pavlidou is Section 12 approved and has Approved Clinician status and is also a certified DOLs assessor.

Dr Pavlidou has been the Clinical Lead for Psychiatry at Dementech Neurosciences since 2018, providing specialist assessments, diagnosis and treatments for all adult mental health illnesses. She is part of the multi-disciplinary team for the treatment of Neurological Disorders including MS, Parkinson’s and dementia.

She has also held a substantive Consultant role in the NHS for East London Foundation Trust since 2017. She was the Consultant Psychiatrist for Bow and Poplar Community Mental Health Team and she currently works as Consultant Psychiatrist in Specialist Drug and Alcohol Services for the borough of Tower Hamlets.

Fields of clinical expertise include stress- and trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, bipolar affective illness and psychosis, while her current clinical practice and research focuses on treatment resistant depression, addictions and ADHD.

Dr Pavlidou has a special interest in stress-related conditions and mind and body connection, and also conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Dr Pavlidou takes a holistic and recovery-focussed approach in the assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties. Her approach is evidence-based and tailored to individual needs and wishes, combining pharmacological therapies with psychological interventions as part of a multidisciplinary model.
