I am a Greek-born, UK-trained Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist.

I trained in General Adult Psychiatry, with an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry (the branch of Psychiatry that specialises in the interface between General Medicine and Psychiatry).

I currently work at Oxleas NHS Trust, in London. I am Consultant Psychiatrist for the Greenwich Primary Care Plus team, working in the interface between Primary Care and Psychiatry.

Since 2011, I have successfully assessed and managed thousands of people with a wide range of mental and physical health problems, including:

  • Mood disorders (depression, bipolar affective disorder)
  • Anxiety and stress-related disorders (phobias, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD)
  • Dissociative and somatoform disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME)
  • Persistent physical symptoms
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and of the following Special Interest Groups:

  • Rainbow
  • Occupational Psychiatry
  • Spirituality & Psychiatry
  • Philosophy & Psychiatry
  • Arts & Psychiatry

I have also been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and I have experience in both individual and group therapy.

I follow a holistic, bio-psycho-social and collaborative approach to the assessment and management of the people that seek my help. My practice has been informed by both my clinical experience and my own research.

I am also a film enthusiast, and founding member of the Leeds Psychoanalytical Film Discussion Club, exploring the interface between Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and film.
